With increased imports, packer concentration, and a host of other issues confronting the Montana cattle producer today, it is imperative for each of us to become more involved in the direction of the future of the cattle industry. We have our work cut out for us! Getting involved is the only way to develop a positive approach to U.S. cattle producer concerns. Montana Cattlemen's Association believes that with your help we can preserve our way of life and ensure a future for the next generation. MCA is working to support: Mandatory country-of-origin labeling, requiring that only meat from cattle born, raised, fed and processed in the USA to be labeled "USA Beef" Restricting the USDA grade stamp only for domestic beef Strong and Fair trade laws Ban on packer ownership for more than 14 days prior to slaughter Obtaining a fair share of the consumer beef dollar for producers Working to restore vitality to rural Montana Strong and workable environmental policy that will benefit Montana ranchers
MCA is a membership organization: Membership dues are $50 minimum per year. One member—one vote. Voting members must own cattle. Associate membership dues are $50 minimum per year. Associates are those individuals who do not own cattle but are supportive of the goals of MCA.
