Swede Schlesinger Scholarship

Swede Schlesinger was a long time rancher and former president of the Montana Cattlemen's Association. Swede ranched north of Ingomar, MT on Porcupine Creek. He loved the cattle business and the people in it. Swede strongly believed education was critical for rural areas to prosper. The heirs of Swede have established this scholarship to encourage academic rigor and reward scholarly achievement.

The application process is being handled through the Montana Community Foundation. The deadline for the scholarship application is now March 30, 2008.
