MCA FOUNDATION DELIVERS BEEF TO GREAT FALLS COMMUNITY FOOD BANK
Great Falls, MT ~ The President of Montana Cattlemen's Association (MCA), Brett DeBruycker, delivered 1435 pounds of hamburger to the Great Falls Community Food Bank, one of the agencies serviced by the Montana Food Bank Network. The director of the food bank said this was enough ground beef to serve 6,000 meals.
"I was pleasantly shocked when I found out how many meals this beef will provide. I would like to personally thank these generous families for this donation of beef," said DeBruycker. The two animals donated, as well as the processing costs, came from two Great Falls ranchers who wish to remain anonymous. Montana Cattlemen's Association Foundation and the Montana Food Bank Network appreciate the generosity of these cattle ranchers.
Thanks to a grant from the Montana Food Bank Network to help pay for processing costs, the MCA Foundation can now turn its attention to finding cattle for this program. "We have had folks from the southern half to the state step up and donate cattle to this program," continued DeBruycker. "I would like to challenge cattle producers from north-central Montana to help support this worthwhile cause with donation of beef." To make a contribution, please contact the MCA office at (406) 259-5433 or Dennis McDonald at (406) 537-2333. The MCA Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit corporation, so all donations - beef or cash - are fully tax deductible as a charitable expense.
